Das Telefon es klingelt, jemand geht ran. Die Frage, wer wohl anruft, stellt sich nur noch bis zum Blick aufs Telefon: Warnend kündigt das Display an, wer am anderen Ende der Leitung gleich sprechen will und wird. Einen kurzen Moment, bevor man ans Telefon geht, lässt sich noch abwägen, ob der eingehende Anruf vielleicht doch lieber verpasst werden sollte, denn grundsätzlich ist zu fragen, wer heute noch irgendjemanden anruft.

You used to call me on my cell phone, you used to, you used to. A brief look at the screen was enough to know who is calling: The announcement on the display warns you who is waiting at the other end of the line. There is a brief, decisive, moment before you pick up, to consider whether it would be better to ignore the incoming call, especially in view of the fundamental question of what kind of person makes phone calls today any-more.
